THE STORY BEHIND DACKCUBE ENTERTAINMENT

THE STORY BEGINS

Every great story has a beginning, and mine started in a house where American Sign Language filled every room.

I was born and raised in Minnesota in a proud fourth-generation Deaf family. ASL wasn't simply the language we used; it was how we laughed, learned, imagined, and connected every day. My parents encouraged me to dream big, believe in myself, and see the world through the beauty of visual communication.

I attended the Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf (MSAD), where my passion for storytelling first began to shine. Inspired by my parents, I entered my very first ASL storytelling competition and was thrilled to earn first place. Looking back, that was the moment a tiny spark turned into a lifelong passion.

Later, I graduated from the California School for the Deaf, Fremont (CSD). Throughout my school years, I loved being on stage and performed in numerous productions. Every performance strengthened my confidence, sharpened my ASL expression, and taught me how powerful visual storytelling could be.

After high school, I attended the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in New York, where I studied Fine Arts, Digital Arts, Acting, and Filmmaking. I earned my degree while combining my love of art, performance, and storytelling into one creative path.

Funny enough, DackCube Entertainment almost never happened.

During the summer of 2007, I  uploaded one of my original ASL videos to YouTube simply because I wanted to share something I enjoyed creating. To my complete surprise, the video spread far beyond anything I imagined. People from across the country, and eventually around the world, began reaching out with encouragement and support. Their kindness gave me the confidence to dream even bigger.

That incredible journey led me to found DackCube Entertainment in 2014.

Since then, I've had the privilege of traveling across the United States and internationally, sharing one-man ASL storytelling performances, leading workshops, teaching, and creating visual experiences for audiences of all ages. I've visited Deaf schools, universities, conferences, festivals, and community events, always with the same mission:

IMAGINE. SIGN. INSPIRE.

There's nothing more rewarding than watching children and adults become completely immersed in a story, eyes wide open, imaginations running wild, and discovering just how expressive and beautiful American Sign Language can be.

Whether I'm performing on stage, teaching a workshop, creating artwork, or producing new projects, my goal remains the same, to inspire creativity, celebrate Deaf culture, and remind people that every story deserves to be seen.

The best part? This story is still being written, and I can't wait to see where the next chapter takes us!
